Kehillat Menorat HaMaor hosts Daf Yomi, men and women’s shiurim, adult education programs and lectures and organizes events aimed at various groups within our community. We have a robust youth program with Shabbat minyanim, father and child learning, tiyulim and learning run by dynamic youth leaders. The Maor Seniors group organizes interesting lectures, shiurim, events and trips geared to meet the needs of our seniors community. The Kehilla also organizes community holiday functions and other family-friendly events. Members receive discounts on shul events as well as on private renting of the shul hall. We enjoy an extensive on-line shiur library and sforim library in our shul; a Tzedakah Fund to help support those in need, an active chesed program, regular Shabbat newsletter, Google email forum and a Facebook page.
Menorat HaMaor has year-round services, including inspiring minyanim for Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. Membership includes seats for R”H and Y”K services. Menorat HaMaor is a family-friendly shul, providing additional readings of the Megilla on Purim and shofar blowing on R”H at convenient times, to allow all family members to attend.
